  1. Venomous- secreting venom; capable of injecting venom by means of a bite or sting
  2. Stolid- calm, dependable, and showing little emotion or animation 
  3. Hypnotized- produce a state of hypnosis 
  4. Suspended- temporarily prevent from continuing or being in force or affect 
  5. Transformed- influenced or touched by an external factor
  6. Accuse- charge with an offense or crime
  7. Anticipate- regard as probable; expect or predict
  8. Fringe- an ornamental border of threads left loose or formed into tassels or twists, used to edge clothing or material
  9. Melancholy- a feeling of pensive sadness, typically with no obvious cause
  10. Earnestly- serious in intention, purpose, or effort 
  11. Dissolve- to make a solution of, as by mixing with a liquid

Tendency- an inclination towards a particular characteristic or type of behavior

Acquisitive- excessively interested in acquiring money or material things
Emulate- match or surpass
Banal- so lacking in originality as to be obvious and boring
Excoriation- harsh criticism
Congeal- solidify or coagulate
Carping- difficult to please
Substantiate- provide evidence to support or prove the truth
Temporize- avoid making a decision or committing oneself in order to gain time
Largesse- generosity in betowing money or gifts upon each others
Tenable- able to maintained or defended against attacks or objection

My Aries


Today I got my essay back, and was surprised to see that I got a B-. I was surprised because it is probably the only good grade that I have in this class. Also I never finished reading Young Goodman Brown, and did not know what to write about. I think that I still have an F or at least a D in this class.
